All the guys from out of town arrived on Friday 9/13. We met at Dos Taquitos in Raleigh for a kickoff dinner. On Saturday, after Gary took some great photos of a Turkey Vulture at Mike's house, the rest of the turkeys met at Sheetz at the RDU airport for our trip to Cloud Nine.
Sunday. We head up the Blue Ridge Parkway and hike up and down by Craggy Dome.On the way back we stop at Wicked Weed brewery for lunch.
Monday. We head to the Richmond Hill course for disc golf. We give it up after 14 holes and head to lunch at 12 Bones.
Tuesday. Rafting with French Broad Adventures. The water was low but it was still exciting.
Wednesday. First we stop at the Folk Art Center, where no photos were allowed inside. Then we headed to the Sierra Nevada brewery for lunch and a tour.
Thursday. The Biltmore Estate.
Friday. We head south on the Blue Ridge Parkway for more hiking. First we visit Graveyard Falls. Then a bit later Skinny Dip Falls.
Saturday. We head back to Raleigh.
